Education: Walsh University - Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Administration & Masters of Education in Health and Human Services, Kent State University-CTE Teacher Licensure; Akron University-Medical Assistant; Pharmacy Tech University-CPhT license.

Work Experience: Pharmacy Instructor at WHS for 10 years; 29 years in Hospital Pharmacy Industry; Hematology/Oncology Center for 8 years; Pharmacy Technician Certification Advanced Training Instructor for 19 years 

Hobbies: Karaoke, Cruising, Swimming, Biking, Tennis, Basketball, Brain Games and Reading

Pharmacy as a Program & Profession

The Pharmacy Tech program consists of crafty competencies, dazzling drugs, math mania, candy crush compounding and tidbits of tabletop technology. Students learn components from each section. They receive a certification detailing customer conduct and communication skills, which are defined as “soft skills”, the foundation on which you build relationships. Students learn different formulas for math and translate medical terminology words and apply them to different drug categories. Students compound an ointment, oral suspensions, capsules, and IV admixtures. The classroom motto is: Eat-Sleep-Pharmacy-& -Repeat.

Credentialing Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician Certification, EMT Basic Certification, CPR Certification
