Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. Establishing a positive school culture consists of setting up a behavioral management system to reflect a shared vision of common values, beliefs and expectations. PBIS will bring proactive teaching of behaviors to our building as our approach to creating a positive school culture for our students and staff. The focus is to teach and reteach positive behaviors and to continually recognize what students are doing right in the school.

WHS PBIS Committee

The PBIS Committee is made up of teachers, secretaries, custodians and administration. Students are also invited to attend meetings to share their thoughts and ideas!

Each month students at WHS vote on a staff member to be Staff of the Month! The staff enjoys this recognition and sharing a little bit of information about their personal life!

Each month every staff member chooses a student to be the Student of the Month for their classroom. WHS is able to recognize over 80 students each month for following the WHS Expectations!
