🇺🇸Remembering and Honoring 9/11🇺🇸
For the sixth year, WHS teacher, Sam Studer has brought together students, staff, service members and local first responders for a heartfelt 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Local heroes and staff shared their personal memories of that day, followed by a performance of the National Anthem by the Massillon Tiger Swing Band.
Participants then formed teams of three and climbed 110 flights of stairs throughout Paul Brown Tiger Stadium, carrying weights and rescuing six "civilians" represented by American flags. This meaningful event is a powerful tribute to the courage and sacrifice of that day.

Today, our school resource officer, Officer Butler, surprised a lucky kindergarten student from each class at Gorrell with a stuffed animal for perfect attendance and showing great behavior!🧸 Thank you, Officer Butler, for supporting and encouraging our students to be their best every day!🌟

Reminder, Tigers!🧡
There is no school Friday, August 30th or Monday, September 2nd!

Today, some of our admin team surprised our elementary students and staff with popsicles to help beat the heat!🧊☀️

Due to excessive heat forecasted for Wednesday, August 28th, and Thursday, August 29th, Franklin, Gorrell and Whittier Elementary Schools will be closed.
With daytime temperatures in the 90s and humidity forecasted at 85-100%, the heat index will be over 100 degrees. In an effort to assist our families in planning for these days, we wanted to do our best to put this information out as soon as possible.
The Massillon Public Preschool, Washington High School, Massillon Junior High School and Massillon Intermediate School buildings WILL remain open.

Teamwork makes the dream work!🎉
