After studying poetry in ELA class, Mrs. Shrader's 5th graders wrote poems of their own and presented them to family and friends in a poetry cafe. Each student decided which style of poetry they liked best after trying many different styles including anaphora, ABAB rhyme, implied metaphors, and others. Students illustrated their poem and published them in a class book of poetry. Each student received a book of their own to take home and treasure! Great job, poets!
